Who is Chez Marquerite?
Madame Marguerite Jordan, originally from Aix-Les-Bains France, has been teaching French in Chicago and the western suburbs (e.g. Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills) for over 15 years. With a passion for the French language and culture, Madame Jordan’s French classes are geared towards children, teenagers, and adults of all age groups and levels. Madame Jordan teaches not only the language itself but also shares her passion for the French culture and language with her students.
The format of the classes range from simple French private lessons to small group sessions focused primarily on conversational skills as well as French immersion (i.e. larger group) group classes and summer camps. Students that have experienced Marguerite's teachings have not only become fluent in the language but have also been able to overcome their deepest fear of expressing themselves in a foreign language when traveling abroad. They have learned not only the language but also the basics of the French culture and étiquette.
Students of Madame Jordan have successfully earned, under her teachings, the Baccalaureate at the Lycée Français, been accepted to French University programs overseas and have graduated with the highest honors with a major in French from prestigious universities, such as the University of Chicago. Madame Jordan is proud to not only teach the French language (e.g. the basics of reading and writing) but to also help her students master the foreign language by teaching conversational skills through French cultural immersion. Madame Jordan's teaching helps overcome some of her student's deepest fears in learning a foregin language while at the same time broadening her student's general culture, both indispensable in today's world.
